Your privacy is important to me. It is my policy to respect your privacy regarding any information I may collect from you across my website, Any personal data provided by you to Fly High Counselling & Psychotherapy through any means (verbal, written, electronic) will be held and processed in accordance with the data protection principles set out in the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation for the purposes for which you have given consent, to provide the services you have requested from me.

The information I collect and store

The information you initially provide when you make contact via the website is the main data I keep. This information is needed so I can make contact with you. I ask for personal information when I need it in order to provide a service to you. I collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. I also let you know why I’m collecting it and how it will be used. I write handwritten short notes after each session, all of which are stored in a locked drawer.

How I use your information

To provide you with a professional service. To notify you about confirmation of appointments or any other changes. To seek feedback from you on your experience.

When I share your information

When you inform me of potential serious harm to yourself or others. I have a duty to share your information with the relevant authorities if I have reason to believe that this may prevent serious harm being caused to you or another person. I don’t share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law.

Your rights

I retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with my requested service. Any data I store, I’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. You have the right to ask me to provide a copy of the information held by me in my records. You also have the right to require me to correct any inaccuracies in your information. If you would like to do this, please advise me.
